Master licence and electrical licence — coming soon.
Current credentials: ACRS A055463 and individual NSW Security Licence S00018146, Class 2C. Independent security contracting and general electrical services are not currently available. Work requiring these additional licences will only be offered once the required licences and arrangements are in place.
1. Who these terms apply to
“We”, “us” and “Marc” mean the supplier identified above. “You” means the customer named in the accepted quote. These terms cover agreed Security, Data, Audio Visual and Fire technician services and basic handyman work in NSW. They are to be supplied with the quote before acceptance. Sending a website enquiry alone does not accept a quote, reserve an appointment or form a service contract.
The accepted written quote and any agreed written variations identify your job. Mandatory law takes priority over these terms. A signed job-specific contract takes priority over a conflicting general term, but cannot reduce a statutory right. These website terms do not replace a prescribed residential building contract where one is required. Website updates do not retrospectively change an existing agreement.
2. Services and exclusions
- Security: CCTV, intercoms, alarms, access control, associated setup, installation, upgrades, servicing and repairs within the accepted scope.
- Data: network and telecommunications cabling, equipment connections, Wi-Fi and customer-side connectivity troubleshooting.
- Audio Visual: TV mounting, media-wall installation and integration, home theatre, sound systems, antennas and equipment setup.
- Fire: smoke and heat alarm testing, annual compliance testing visits, battery changing, maintenance, and fire panel installation, upgrades, repairs and fault finding within the accepted scope.
- Basic handyman: simple mounting, minor fixes and agreed basic maintenance.
Painting, sanding, plumbing, complex carpentry, structural building work and major renovations are excluded. A media-wall quote does not automatically include custom cabinetry, structural framing or decorative finishing. General electrical services are coming soon and are not currently offered. Mains electrical work must be separately arranged with an appropriately licensed electrical contractor.
We only accept and carry out work within the licences, registrations, qualifications and legal permissions required for that work. Any separately engaged contractor and their scope will be identified. A subcontractor engaged by us does not remove our responsibility for our agreed supply.
3. Quotes, prices and variations
A quote states the scope, supplied products, exclusions, total price or agreed charging basis, any applicable GST and compulsory charges, and its acceptance period. An estimate is identified as an estimate. Call-out, investigation, travel, parking, access-equipment and after-hours charges are payable only when disclosed and agreed before they are incurred.
Photos and remote information may not reveal concealed faults or unsuitable surfaces. If conditions require a different scope, we explain the findings and proposed price and timing before proceeding. Variations require your agreement in writing, including any signatures required by law. We do not treat silence as acceptance of extra charges. If necessary, work is paused safely while a decision is made.
4. Appointments, access and approvals
An appointment is confirmed directly by Marc or through a configured booking service that expressly confirms it. The website’s preferred-date enquiry is not a check of live availability. Arrival times, access requirements and expected interruptions are agreed for the job. If a delay occurs, we contact you to arrange the next practical step.
Please arrange permission from the owner or other authorised decision-maker and access to the relevant rooms, equipment and common areas. Tell us about known hazards, concealed services, asbestos concerns, fragile finishes and site rules. We also take reasonable steps to assess the work area; your information does not transfer our safety or workmanship responsibilities to you. Unsafe work is stopped and discussed.
5. Deposits and payment
The quote sets out any deposit, progress stages and due dates before acceptance. If no payment date is agreed, payment is due on completion and receipt of the invoice. Any legally required insurance, contract and payment protections apply before a deposit is taken or work starts. For NSW residential building work to which the deposit cap applies, the deposit will not exceed 10% of the contract price.
Payments correspond to the agreed job and stages. Raise an invoice query promptly so we can investigate; pay any undisputed amount when due. This does not restrict a lawful right to withhold or dispute payment. There are no automatic late penalties, collection charges or forfeiture of warranty rights under these terms.
6. Rescheduling and cancellation
Please contact Marc as early as possible if you need to change an appointment. No automatic cancellation or no-show fee applies under these general terms. If you cancel after authorising work or a non-returnable purchase, any amount claimed is limited to lawful payment for work properly completed and reasonable, evidenced, unavoidable costs directly caused by the cancellation. We take reasonable steps to reduce those costs, account for refunds or reusable materials, and return the unused balance of any payment.
If we cannot complete the agreed work, we discuss a suitable solution and refund amounts for goods or services not supplied, subject to your full legal remedies. Statutory cooling-off, termination and refund rights take priority. Airtasker jobs remain subject to the platform’s applicable booking, payment and dispute processes as well as mandatory law.
7. Equipment, accounts and technical limitations
The quote distinguishes equipment supplied by us from equipment supplied by you. We assess compatibility and obvious suitability within the agreed service; we do not install an item we know is unsafe or unsuitable. A fault in customer-supplied equipment does not excuse damage or defective work caused by us. If replacement parts or further investigation are needed, we obtain approval for the additional work.
Internet providers, cloud platforms, apps, subscriptions and third-party networks have their own service conditions. A particular internet speed, uninterrupted cloud access or future software compatibility is only promised if expressly agreed and achievable. This does not reduce any guarantee concerning the suitability or performance of our own supply.
You retain control of your accounts. Enter passwords yourself where practical and arrange a secure handover when access is needed. We seek approval before a reset or operation likely to remove settings, recordings or other data. Backups and data recovery are only included when quoted; our responsibility for loss caused by our failure to exercise due care and skill is not excluded.
Repair notice: Repairing equipment that stores user-generated data may result in loss of that data, including recordings, files and saved settings. Make a backup where practical before repair. We discuss the relevant risk and obtain any required instructions before proceeding; this notice does not exclude our responsibility for the repair.
8. CCTV, intercoms, alarms and access control
The quote identifies the installed functions, coverage and tests. Monitoring, patrol response, emergency attendance, subscription fees and ongoing maintenance are not included unless expressly contracted. No system can promise that every intrusion, equipment fault or loss will be prevented or detected. This statement does not excuse a failure to meet an agreed specification or a legal guarantee.
Camera locations, access permissions, account owners and any building approvals are discussed before installation. You are responsible for lawful ongoing use of recordings and access controls; we remain responsible for our own work. Sensitive images, codes and credentials are not to be sent through the public enquiry form.
9. Smoke, heat and fire panel work
The quote identifies the devices, tests, battery replacements, panel work, records and other deliverables. An annual visit does not mean annual testing is the only maintenance your building or system needs. Applicable requirements, manufacturer instructions and the agreed maintenance schedule determine the work and frequency.
A service or test report records the work and findings at that visit. It is not a promise of continuing fault-free operation or whole-building compliance. Annual Fire Safety Statement assessments, Fire Safety Certificates, design certification and other statutory sign-off are only included where explicitly agreed and undertaken by appropriately authorised practitioners.
Planned isolation, monitoring notifications, occupant advice and restoration checks are agreed with the authorised site contact as part of the work. Owners and occupiers should arrange required ongoing maintenance and act on reported defects. Our duties concerning safe work, correct testing, accurate reporting and restoration of the agreed system functions remain in place.
10. Completion and care of your property
We carry out the agreed work with due care and skill, provide the agreed checks and handover, and identify unfinished items or follow-up recommendations. Where applicable, we supply required cabling records and other job documents. Existing surface condition and planned access openings are discussed; making good is included only as quoted. This does not remove our responsibility for damage we cause.
Signing a completion record, paying an invoice or using the installation does not waive a claim for defective work, an undiscovered defect or any other statutory right. Project photos for public marketing require separate permission; accepting a job is not consent to publish your property, identity or security layout.
11. Warranty and legal remedies
Your Australian Consumer Law rights, applicable NSW statutory building warranties and other non-excludable rights remain in place. Goods supplied by us remain subject to the rights that apply to them, regardless of a manufacturer’s warranty period. See our workmanship and consumer-rights information for how to raise a concern.
There is no blanket exclusion of negligence, foreseeable loss or responsibility for our own work, and no general cap limiting every claim to the invoice value. Any remedy and compensation are assessed under the applicable law and the facts of the job.
12. Resolving a concern
Contact Marc using the details above, describing the job, problem and outcome you want. We aim to acknowledge a written concern within two business days and arrange an assessment and reasonable response. This target does not postpone an urgent remedy or a legal deadline. We explain any disputed assessment and proposed next step.
If a concern remains unresolved, either party may seek independent advice or use an available NSW Fair Trading, Building Commission NSW, tribunal or court process. You do not have to complete a private dispute process before exercising a legal right. NSW law applies, together with applicable Commonwealth law; nothing requires you to give up a forum or protection the law provides.
